Manual switching is fine for us, we just flip it before bed depending on whose car needs more range. Saves running a second 240V circuit.
Now my wife and I both have garage chargers
Plugged this in between our dryer outlet and two chargers. Switch is firm, you can feel the contact engage. No arcing or warm spots.
